How to Reach Mathura Vrindavan

Mathura is the birthplace of Lord Krishna and it has a great religious significance among the Hindus. It also has one of the oldest historical records, temples and sacred sites. How to Reach Mathura Vrindavan


Air:
The closest international airport to Mathura Vrindavan is Delhi, located 150 km away, far at a drive of 3.5 hours.

Train:
There is not railway station in Vrindavan, while the closest railway station is Mathura. Mathura and Vrindavan are just 15 km away from each other.

Bus/Road Transport:
Buses from Vrindavan or Mathura from Delhi are easily available from the ISBT near Kashmiri Gate. Buses are also available from the Sarai Kali Khan Interstate Bus Terminal, near Nizamuddin railway station, Delhi.

You can opt for private taxis which take not more than 15-20 minutes to reach Vrindavan. Or at a cheaper scale, you can opt for Autorickshaws which are freely available. Shared Autos also run at the cheapest cost from the Mathura to Vrindavan.

Meter Gauge Train:
Mathura and Vrindavan (15 km away) are connected by a meter gauge train. This train leaves Mathura at 9 AM in the morning and 8 PM in the evening then goes till Vrindavan. It takes around 30 minutes to reach which it comes back at 9:30 AM in the morning and 8:30 PM in the evening respectively.
